Danny Etter rode the old Magnolia Park United Methodist Church bus to church events growing up in Burbank, and stopped church from selling it for scrap when the bus got too old and broken down. Etter, 17, made the bus his Eagle Scout project and is renovating the 30 year old bus, named Old Blue. When finished it will be donated to a poor Navajo Indian tribe in Arizona that will use it to take Indian kids from the reservation to church and school. Etter has raised about $1,500 but needs at least $6,000 to restore the bus. When the renovations to the bus are finished Etter and his father will fill it with food and other donated items and drive it to the Arizona reservation. (Hans Gutknecht/Staff Photographer)
