Vietnam Veterans Charles Bradford, 1965-69, and Jimmy Davis, 1966-67, enjoy themselves at North Hollywood Park. Vietnam veterans and community members gathered at North Hollywood Park for a picnic in honor of those service men and women who participated in the Vietnam War. In 2007 the U.S. Congress and Senate proclaimed March 30th as "National Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day" and on April 8, 2008 the Los Angeles City Council adopted a Resolution Declaring March 30 as the official Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day in Los Angeles.
