Cars are gone over for parts at Aadlen Brothers Auto Wrecking in Sun Valley. The wreaking company has contracts to crush cars traded in during the government sponsored Cash for Clunkers, or CARS, program. The company puts some of the cars in its Pick Your Part facility were people can strip needed parts from the vehicles before they are put through the crusher.   (Hans Gutknecht/LA Daily News)

Hunter Feldman was 3-years on August 10, 1999, white supremacist Buford O. Furrow, Jr. walked into the North Valley Jewish Community Center in Granada Hills, CA and began shooting with a semiautomatic weapon firing 70 times. The gunfire wounded five people: three children, a teenage counselor, and an office worker. After leaving the center Furrow murdered a mail carrier in nearby Chatsworth, before fleeing the state and surrendering to authorities in Nevada. Hunter is the first child on right holding the hand of a Los Angeles Police officer as children are lead away from the shooting scene. (Hans Gutknecht/LA Daily News)
