LAPD officer Tim Gallick speeds after a motorist that did not yield to a pedestrian at Ventura Blvd. and Arch Dr. during a Valley Traffic Division pedestrian crosswalk safety and enforcement operation in Studio City. Officers in plain clothes crossed the street and if vehicles failed to yield to them they were given a warning or issued a citation along with a pamphlet detailing driver and pedestrian responsibility at crosswalks. Motorists received 36 citations and 24 warnings during 2 one-hour operations in the San Fernando Valley on Thursday, March 22, 2012.
