Dr. Christine Daniel, operator of Sonrise Medical Clinic in Mission Hills was convicted by a federal jury this week of peddling a cancer treatments to terminally ill patients. Daniel, 57, of Northridge, was found guilty on Monday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles of 11 counts of mail and wire fraud, tax evasion and witness tampering. Martin Mancilla and his wife Adriana have had more than 50 foster kids come through their home since they began taking foster kids 9 years ago. Martin Mancilla, who was nominated by his social worker as a great dad, believes sports such as baseball and basketball help his foster kids find trust in their foster family.
